Former DoorifyMLS CEO and 2024 Shuttleworth MLS Executive of the Year joins Phantom Power as Senior Management Consultant

DALLAS, Texas — October 13, 2026 — Today Phantom Power announced that longtime MLS and real estate technology leader Matt Fowler has joined the systems advisory firm as Senior Management Consultant.

Phantom Power provides systems advisory for organized real estate, helping leaders understand how strategy, technology, data, people, and organizational structure influence one another so they can make clearer decisions and act with greater perspective.

Matt Fowler brings more than three decades of experience across MLS leadership, technology and organizational transformation. Most recently, he served as the first Chief Executive Officer of DoorifyMLS, formerly Triangle MLS, where he led a multi-year transformation spanning technology, operations, organizational structure and business model. In 2024, he was named the Council of Multiple Listing Services’ 10th Shuttleworth MLS Executive of the Year.

His addition to Phantom Power also marks a significant professional reunion.

Beginning in 2000, Phantom Power CEO, Bill Fowler, and Matt worked together at Solid Earth. Matt, a co-founder of the company, served as President and CEO, while Bill served as Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of New Business. Together, the brothers grew Solid Earth into one of the country’s leading MLS technology companies before its acquisition by FBS in 2018.

In the years since, their careers took them into different parts of the real estate industry. Matt held leadership roles at FBS and TRIBUS before moving to the MLS side of the business and ultimately leading DoorifyMLS. Bill continued his career across MLS technology, data, product strategy and real estate innovation before founding Phantom Power.

Now, the two are formally working together again.

“Matt and I worked side by side early in our careers, and since then we have each had the opportunity to see this industry from very different positions,” said Bill Fowler, CEO of Phantom Power. “Matt has built technology, led a company through growth and acquisition, worked inside major real estate technology organizations, and then led an MLS through significant transformation. He understands how decisions in one area affect the rest of the organization. That perspective is a natural fit for Phantom Power.”

At DoorifyMLS, Fowler led a broad modernization effort that extended beyond technology implementation. His work included changes to operations, organizational structure and technology choice, including the development of MLS Choice.

As Senior Management Consultant, Fowler will work directly with MLSs, REALTOR® associations, and PropTech organizations facing complex challenges involving transformation, technology strategy, modernization, operating models, and executive decision-making.

“The biggest challenges organizations are facing today do not exist in separate boxes,” said Matt Fowler. “A technology decision can change an operating model. A governance decision can affect innovation. The way an organization is structured can determine whether a good strategy ever gets implemented. Bill and I have always looked at problems differently, and that was one of the strengths of working together at Solid Earth. I am excited to bring those perspectives together again through Phantom Power.”

Fowler joins Phantom Power at a time when organized real estate is navigating rapid advances in artificial intelligence, shifting expectations around data and governance, changing technology models, and growing pressure to modernize.

“Organizations are being asked to make consequential decisions faster than ever,” Bill Fowler said. “Matt has spent his career leading through exactly those kinds of moments. Having that experience at the table makes Phantom Power stronger.”
